Who is this course for?
This qualification is designed for those who want to attend our most thorough first aid course, This course is best suited to individual who work in higher risk environments, the likes of factories, warehouse or where large numbers of staff or members of the public will be present. This qualification can be taken by anyone over the age of 16.
What does the course cover?
The roles and responsibilities of a first aider
Assessing an emergency situation safely
Management of an unresponsive casualty
CPR including AED
Managing a choking casualty
Poisons
Head Injuries
Management and Treatment of wounds, shock, burns, scalds and other minor injuries
Management of Medical Emergencies, Asthma, stroke, high & low blood sugar, hot and cold injures, bone, joint and muscle injuries, chest pain and stroke.
Timings?
This course usually runs for 09:30 - 16:30, it is recommended that learners arrive at least 15 minutes before the session to sign in, make a drink and get settled before the training starts.
Assessment
This course is assessed by the tutor throughout the course with a number of practical assessments taking place over the 3 days and a multiple choice assessment paper at the end of the course to confirm understanding of the content of the course.
Certification
Successful learners will receive a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Qualification which is valid for 3 years.
100% of the course must be attended to gain this qualification.
