Who is this course for?
This level-3-Cava course is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment other than assessing competence in a work environment. There must be evidence to cover all of the assessment methods listed in the units. The objective of the qualification is to support a role in the workplace.
What does the course cover?
Unit 1: Assessment principles, understanding different types of assessment methods, planning assessment, how to involve learners and others in assessment, making assessment decisions, the quality assurance of the assessment process, managing assessment information, legal and good practice requirements.
Unit 2: Planning the assessment of, making assessment decisions about, providing the information required for occupational competence and maintaining legal requirements and good practice of occupational competence.
Unit 3: Selecting and preparing assessment methods, performing assessments, providing required information and maintain legal and good practice assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.
This course is delivered/assessed remotely so learners can work at their own pace to complete this qualification. You will need to have your own learners to assess, so will need to agree times with those learners to carry out assessments. If you do not have your own learners we can give you access to our learners to carry out assessments on at times which are convenient for them.
This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected. The portfolio of evidence will be assessed and internally quality assured by the Centre.
Successful learners will receive a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
